After nearly a year a half a since the release of We Are Friends Vol. 2 and Vol. 3, deadmau5's label, mau5trap, has come back with the fourth volume in their compilation series in just four months. The 11-track compilation features some of the new and budding talent the label has been pushing lately including ATTLAS, Enzo Bennet and NEUS, as well as more known name Matt Lange, who has found a new home on Zimmerman's label.
Other new names to the label include Draft, No Mana, Rezz and Wax Motif, who has already established himself with a well-reputed growing discography.
ATTLAS has been one of the most talked about producers at mau5trap over the past few months and his productions have been so widely lauded that some thought it might be a side project of deadmau5 himself. That was put to bed when Pete Tong introduced the producer as Canadian Jeff Hartford.
The compilation continues the tradition of left field electronic music released on the imprint, ranging from crunchy electro to more minimal techno and more soothing progressive that is similar to that of the label boss. There is a little something for everyone throughout the compilation, but some highlights include the tunes from Enzo Bennet and Matt Lange.
