Swedish producer/DJ duo of Christian Karlsson (also known as the prolific pop producer and writer, Bloodshy) and member of Miike Snow and Linus Eklöw, known by his other DJ persona Style Of Eye, has released their debut album, Pharmacy on Big Beat Records. The 13-track LP contains four previously released tracks, "Gold Dust," "You," the funky "Peanut Butter Jelly" and the growing hit "Runaway (U&I)." The album can purchased on iTunes or streamed on Soundcloud and Spotify.
The pair, through their time as solo artists and as collaborating with others, has honed the ability to make simple, yet emotional house music that appeals to wide base of potential fans. They vary their sounds some throughout the album, incorporating steel drums in "Call If You Need Me" and switching up drum patterns, but they fall back on their formula of stadium-sized dance music.
Backed by Big Beat Records/Atlantic in the United States, this has the potential to be a big album this year.
Galantis is heading out on tour this summer in support of the album, primarily playing at festivals all over the world, including the upcoming Ultra Music Festivals in Thailand, Bangkok and Europe, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo and more. Check out the full list of dates below and more details here.
