If you were hoping to express your "Girl Crush" (or boy crush) for Little Big Town this summer, there's some bad news for you: the country quartet has been forced to cancel its live engagements through the month of July as member Jimi Westbrook undergoes vocal cord surgery.

Little Big Town made the unfortunate announcement yesterday (June 17) on its official Facebook page, stating that Westbrook has developed a polyp on his cord and needs a full six weeks to recover from surgery before he can go back out on tour again.

"With heavy hearts we want to let you guys know that Jimi will have to undergo surgery next week to remove a polyp on his vocal cord. As a result, doctors have ordered him to rest his voice and completely recuperate before we continue touring. All shows through July 30th will be cancelled or rescheduled," they wrote before apologizing to the fans.

"It breaks our hearts to let you guys down, but Jimi's health is the most important thing and he is expected to make a full recovery with rest and treatment. We will keep everyone updated on Jimi's progress. Thanks for your understanding and support. - K,K,J & P."
