Earlier this month, veteran British band, Duran Duran, announced the details for their 14th album, Paper Gods, and today, June 20, fans now have a taste of what it will sound like. The lead single from the album, "Pressure Off" featuring Janelle Monáe and Nile Rodgers, has appeared on the internet. Janelle Monáe meshes with the retro, funky beat from Duran Duran and Nile Rodgers, whose influence can clearly be heard on the tune. This track has summer written all over it.
Duran Duran's Paper Gods will be released on September 11 through Warner Bros. Music. The LP will feature an interesting mix of artists including Kiesza, Mark Ronson, former Red Hot Chili Peppers' guitarist John Frusciante and Lindsay Lohan.
The band has already scheduled an extensive summer and fall tour across Europe on the busy festival circuit and then across the United States in some iconic venues like the Hollywood Bowl and Red Rocks.
