It plays out just like an episode of Scooby Doo.

The gang is at some creepy warehouse in Brooklyn, trying to solve the mystery of who's been playing loud music late into the night. Suddenly Shaggy and company are attacked by a man with a giant, electronic mouse head! Shenanigans ensue! As Scoob and company run away from the rodent robot, Fred rigs up a trap and catches the perp in a net.

"Zoinks Scoob!" exclaims Shaggy. "I thought that Deadmau5 was going to get us!"

Velma, being condescending as always, interrupts.

"Don't be fooled, it's not really Deadmau5..." she says, pulling off the mouse helmet. "It's Skrillex!"

Sure enough, the DJ—who looks oddly like Velma, if she grew her hair out and shaved half of her head—had been imitating his fellow EDM producer.

"And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you kids and your stupid dog!" he yells.

Everything stated above really happened. Except for the parts involving Scooby Doo characters. Skrillex appeared at a warehouse show in Brooklyn, and surprised the crowd by wearing his own version of the Deadmau5 helmet, which as Dancing Astronaut accurately points out, looks somewhat like a Spawn mask.

The mask isn't as exciting as some of the other surprises Skrillex has unveiled at shows, such as Dave Chappelle crowd surfing or Chance The Rapper debuting a new song. There may have been more function to this surprise however: A fan announced earlier this week that she's suing the DJ for allegedly causing her to have a stroke when he stage-dove on top of her at a concert. Perhaps he's hiding from the law under his new helmet.
