Many would consider Prince to be among them most influential R&B performers ever, and the music he produced within that genre as some of the sexiest of all time. The Purple One himself has taken a very different attitude in his new song however, declaring during "HARDROCKLOVER" that he's just what the title suggests.

"Sade and Babyface / R&B ain't got no place," he sings. "Put some hard rock on / You better cover your ears 'cause you're 'bout to hear a woman just scream."

Ooh, bold words. Surely he could have aimed his invective at Jason Derulo or Chris Brown...not our beloved Sade and Babyface? Either way, there are two ways to interpret the line "turn my guitar up so I can make this woman scream." Anyone who has listened to "Purple Rain" knows that the performer knows his way around six strings...but then again everyone familiar with the '70s knows that there's no symbol more phallic than an electric guitar.

Pick your argument.

We're hoping that somewhere among the recent releases from the performer there's a new album in the works. Granted, the two most-recent singles from Prince have been worlds apart in both subject matter and music. Aside from "HARDROCKLOVER," the guitarist released a track titled "Baltimore" following the death of Freddie Gray.
