Los Angeles based celeb artist Plasticgod pays homage to post-punk icon Nick Cave of The Bad Seeds' with his latest collection of (very) limited-edition toys. Inspired by six of the Austrialian rocker's most memorable songs, each of these highly-coveted figurines commemorates the strange and fascinating interior of Cave's artistically dark and enchanting visions. A probable pick-me-up for those of us who weren't able to see him in the flesh during his most recent tour, Plasticgod's mini versions of The Birthday Party's former frontman are the next best thing to scoring front row seats in a sold out venue.

Ranging from whimsical to Byronic, Plasticgod's tangible interpretations of Cave's musical narratives are the perfect addition to any die-hard fan's shrine for the reasonable price of $40 per-toy. Set to debut at this year's San Diego's annual Comic Con on July 9
, each of the six designs will be limited to an exclusive batch of 200. A fine compilation of Cave at his finest, Plasticgod's toys perfectly embody their namesakes. The brightly colored lighthouse landscape of "Into My Arms" is as embracing as the track's lush piano intro while "Babe, You Turn Me On" (which also glows in the dark) seems to beckon its onlooker by way of its flipped up "ON" switch. "Tupelo" is stormy, comprised of a swirling tornado's mighty advance across a rural landscape awash in blues and greens. "Right Red Hand," much like the song, brings to life the image of a mysterious man with a an even equally mysterious physiology.

Each figure possesses Cave's likeness with flawless precision, with pitch-black hair, dark brows, and shockingly captivating eyes. Whether housed in their boxes or displayed side-by-side on a shelf, Plastigod's little Nick Caves are a worthwhile investment or at the least a suitable addition to your wish list.
