Deadmau5 has rarely held back his opinion on any given topic, but he was especially brutal when addressing David Guetta, nightclub Pacha Ibiza, and the pair's use of a horse in a promotion during May. The response from the Toronto producer is late only because the offending imagery was just now sent his way. Let's let the DJ himself sum up this story:

"F*ck @davidguetta and f*ck @pacha," he tweeted.

The action that bothered Joel "Deadmau5" Zimmerman most was the decision to use a live horse in the proceedings. Anyone who's watched a Western knows that loud noises spook horses, even the most well-trained ones. Needless to say, a nightclub setting is the worst possible setting for a horse, or any other animal really. Animals don't understand EDM or subwoofers, so the blasts that leave you partially deaf the next morning leave them in a terrified state.

That's not to say it took much for Deadmau5 to lash out at Guetta. The former DJ has a caustic attitude to the most mainstream of electronic music, and Guetta's house is about as Top 40 as you can get. The French performer has hosted an annual residency at Pacha on Ibiza for years, classily titled "F*ck Me I'm Famous." This year the club/DJ celebrated the opening with a Western theme, which included cowboy-and-indian-themed dancers, and of course the horse. Beatport points out one YouTube commentator who hit the nail right on the head: "There's something in this video to offend everyone-animal activists, people against culture appropriation, people who hate Coldplay."

Of course, Zimmerman was less friendly.

"For real," he tweeted. "Horses belong on a farm, not in a sh*tty overpriced nightclub to be subjected to a sh*tty overpaid DJ."

This is far from Zimmerman's first, overt shot at DJs he doesn't appreciate.
