For years TLC's 19 Kids and Counting has been a show that portrayed The Duggars as postcard All-American, traditional, Christian family. But now, after 10 successful seasons, TLC is cancelling the show due to Josh Duggar's molestation scandal.

A couple months ago news got out that the oldest Duggar son, Josh Duggar, had allegedly sexually molested five girls in his teenage years, including several of his younger sisters. TMZ confirmed with law enforcement that Josh Duggar was the alleged molester of five girls starting in 2002, when he was about 14 years old.

Josh, who is now 27, can no longer be charged on these allegations because the statute of limitations has run, but TLC took it upon themselves to pull the plug on the show as a means of reparations.

The network issued a statement regarding their decision, stating, "After thoughtful consideration, TLC and the Duggar family have decided to not move forward with 19 Kids and Counting. The show will no longer appear on the air." This is a major twist that many viewers of the wholesome show did not see coming.

Back in May, Josh Duggar addressed the molestation allegations via a public apology on Facebook. He stated, "Twelve years ago, as a young teenager I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life. I sought forgiveness from those I had wronged and asked Christ to forgive me and come into my life. I would do anything to go back to those teen years and take different actions. In my life today, I am so very thankful for God's grace, mercy and redemption."
