When you go to see U2 on its iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour, you certainly expect to see one stadium act but not two. During its eight-night residency at New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday night (July 27), the legendary rock band was joined onstage by pop star Lady Gaga for a touching rendition of the Oscar-nominated Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom track "Ordinary Love."

Gaga was introduced on stage by Bono, who could simply only mutter "goodness gracious" and "it's yourself" as she ran up on stage in massive high heels and black lingerie. Gaga wasn't just there to look beautiful and sing along, she also whipped out her piano skills, accompanying The Edge's acoustic guitar with her own musical backing.

Though a massive star in her own right, Gaga was there to supply backing vocals to Bono, joining him on the choruses and adding in vocal decoration throughout the rest of the track. At one point, Gaga (whom Bono kept referring to as "her Gaganess") took over, adding in boastful "Ohs" after the second chorus.

As Entertainment Weekly points out, Gaga isn't the only singer to have joined U2 on stage during its run of Madison Square Garden shows. Paul McCartney, Alicia Keys, Jon Bon Jovi and The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon and The Roots have also joined U2 on the legendary stage.

U2 has two nights left at MSG on July 30 and 31. The band will then take the month of August off before continuing the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour on Sept. 4 in Turin, Italy.
