Hip-hop heads and listeners of NYC radio know of the longstanding beef between radio stations Hot 97 and Power 105.1. It looks like the rivalry between the radio stations just deepened after Power 105.1 Breakfast Club personality, Charlamagne Tha God, bestowed the title of "Donkey of the day" on DJ Funkmaster Flex after Meek Mill was a no call no show last night (July 27) on his show.

Charlamagne took to the airwaves this morning, and read Flex what he called a eulogy for the radio kingpin.

He started by saying, "I want to thank you all for coming to celebrate the life of Aston George Taylor aka Pump Faker Flex aka Flex Hogan aka Funkmaster Flex. Our childhood has been ruined because another '80s icon has proved that he's not who we thought he was all these years."

The 105.1 radio personality went on to read Flex the riot act for insinuating himself in the beef between the rappers and for his dogged persistence when it came to his attempt to discredit Toronto rapper Drake after he released the "10 Bands" reference track by alleged ghostwriter Quentin Miller.

To add insult to injury, Flex promised listeners more reference tracks along with Mill's response to Drake diss record, "Charged Up". Imagine the world's shock when they tuned in at 7 p.m. and waited for something that never came.

This is not the first time Flex has been vocal about hip-hop artists. At the beginning of the year he took to the radio to air out Jay Z about his Life+Times website.
