It's hard to imagine The Weeknd performing his new hit song "Can't Feel My Face" and getting anything less than a purely enthusiastic reception from the crowd, but in the song's new music video, people aren't feeling it. As the lead Beauty Behind the Madness single sits at No. 2 on the charts, today (July 28) the hot visual finally dropped via Apple Music.

The premise behind "Can't Feel My Face" is a relatively simple one. Wearing his signature all-black, The Weeknd takes to the stage in what appears to be a pretty hip night club. Standing behind a microphone stage and in front of a sparkling purple curtain, The Weeknd rocks out while performing his Max Martin produced track, pouring all of his emotions into the gig.

However, as the camera pans away from The Weeknd and toward the crowd, people look less than receptive to his performance. They carry on with their normal clubbing, sitting at tables with looks of ennui on their face and smoking cigarettes and sipping cocktails.

That is until one less-than-pleased attendee gets a little antagonistic and throws a drink at The Weeknd, who keeps performing like it ain't no thang.

Eventually though, someone else throws something onto the stage and the heat gets really turned up. Only when the performance gets smoking do people finally dig the show.

"Can't Feel My Face" is the second track released and lead single from The Weeknd's forthcoming album Beauty Behind the Madness, following the release of "The Hills." BBTM will be released on Aug. 28.
