Chief Keef's hologram isn't going down without a fight. Keef and FilmOn TV, the company he recently signed to, and Hologram USA attempted to put on a secret show at Craze Fest in Hammond, Indiana, just outside of Chicago, this past Saturday night (July 25). Keef's hologram took the stage, spoke on his #StopTheViolence campaign, and was shut down minutes into "I Don't Like," the first and only song performed.

Due to outstanding warrants, Keef is currently barred from performing in his hometown of Chicago, and apparently, those warrants apply to his hologram, too. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has called Keef's music "a significant public safety risk," and the Mayor of Hammond echoed Emanuel's thoughts and told Keef, "...we're not going to let you circumvent Mayor Emanuel by going next door."

If the concert does happen, all proceeds will go to the families of rapper Capo, a member of Keef's Glo Gang, and Dillan Harris, the one-year-old child who was killed in the same incident.

On Tuesday, Keef responded to Emanuel on Twitter by posting the phone number to the mayor's office and encouraging his followers to "tell him to stay the f*ck off the people's music."

He then announced his own candidacy for Mayor of Chicago. Whether or not he'll make good on that promise, he remains intent on holding an uninterrupted hologram concert — and he now wants to do so concurrently in three different cities, New York, Chicago and L.A, all streamed simultaneously by FilmOn TV.

Keef also says he's recruited Grammy Award-winning producer Detail to help him recruit an "all-star hip-hop lineup" to participate in the event.

Originally, FilmOn and Hologram USA announced plans to work with Madison Square Garden Co. to hold the events at their venues, including the Chicago Theatre and, perhaps, Madison Square Garden in New York, but soon after Keef's statement, an MSG representative told Billboard, "We are not involved in this in any way."

Alki David, CEO of both FilmOn and Hologram USA, then released a statement of his own in which he claims MSG displayed verbal excitement about the event but, now, "...since doing their research, the Madison Square Gardens people have bought into Rahm Emanuel's disturbing disregard for the 1st amendment rights. Personally I feel disappointed but not surprised. Regardless the show will go on."

Do you think Keef's hologram will ever make it through a full show?
