We kind of figured that L7 would be announcing a more extended American tour considering its slew of shows in Europe, but now it's official: The grunge-era rockers will be playing a few gigs aside from the festival dates it has planned for its homeland.

The group, best known to modern radio listeners perhaps for its single "Pretend We're Dead," first announced that it would be returning during December of 2014, and also launched a kickstarter to fund a documentary on the group, which shares a title with its best-known single (the DVDs are due to ship in the next few months). The band had never officially "broken up" per se, but had been on an "indefinite hiatus" since 2001. That was after three years of not playing shows.

Among the shows listed below are previously listed dates as part of Riot Fest and Fun Fun Fun Fest. L7 had also played a pair of sold-out shows in its hometown of Los Angeles earlier this year, prior to the upcoming North American run. If you don't see a show near you (two New York dates?), keep your head up and eyes open for additional concert announcements in the future. There's no word yet on new music from the group, but we can always hope. Get tickets quick, lest it be another 17 years before you can see L7 again.
