Vic Mensa is staying on his freestyle grind with yet another off-the-top release. Like his previous release, "Heir to the Throne," his latest, "Heat It Up," finds the Chicago emcee firing more shots at other artists. Last week, Mensa set himself up for greatness by rapping over a Biggie beat and shouting out his Roc Nation boss Jay Z. Also on "Heir to the Throne," he dissed Rodeo rapper Travi$ Scott. This time, he aims bars at French rapper Monsieur Ice and angrily denies the plagiarism rumors brought against him.

Complex recently ran an article that suggested Mensa's "U Mad" may have plagiarized a Monsieur Ice song called "Horus." A fan tweeted at Ice asking if he thought Mensa's "U Mad" copied his flow on "Horus" and the French rapper responded, "dans l'impunité totale," or "with total impunity." Mensa caught wave of the accusations and responded, in a since deleted tweet, saying, "yall retardedddd," though by his use of emojis, it didn't seem he took the story seriously.

On "Heat It Up," he addresses the controversy with lyrics: "How they accuse me of plagiarizing sh*t no one has heard / I guess that's an excuse to put my name in your words." He also something for Complex magazine: "Bonjour to the f*ck n*ggas on Complex trying to hike views."

Elsewhere, he delivers clever wordplay -- "And my hood so gentrified / Keep the white movin' in" -- and he takes time to pay homage to his home streets in the South Side of Chicago, "Shout out to Young Chop / And all them n*ggas from around my way / I swear we do not give a f*ck about the sh*t y'all say."

He also shouts out Ciara for ignoring some of the nasty jabs her ex-husband Future has recently sent her way: "I swear I stopped hearing these n*ggas trying to sh*t on us / I don't respond I'm like Ciara to that sh*t so what." We doubt this is a shot at Future, though, as he recently dropped a remix to Future's "Codeine Crazy."

Vic Mensa's current "Traffic" tour runs through the end of September. Check out dates and get tickets here.
