Last year, Sean Lennon became mesmerized at a South by Southwest party where he tuned into the musical talents of the psychedelic Fat White Family for the first time ever. Since that moment, he's aided the band by co-producing their sophomore album as well as collaborating with them for a side project called the Moonlandingz (which features Lennon, Fat White Family's Lisa Saoudi and Saul Adamczewski, Charlotte Kemp Muhl and members from the U.K. avant-garde electronic group, the Eccentronic Research Council). Now, they're ready to unveil a unique video for their latest track, "Sweet Saturn Mine (Sean Lennon De-Mix)".

"They're one of the best live bands I've ever seen," he said of Fat White Family, Rolling Stone reports. "We became really good friends." Due out on October 30, the collaboration will boast a 10-inch EP on Muhl and Lennon's label, Chimera Music. The son of celebrated Beatle John Lennon has experience in the collaboration area, having previously worked with the Flaming Lips on a rendition of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," as well as producing his mother, Yoko Ono's, EP Take Me To The Land Of Hell.

"The whole thing was born basically out of this fictional fantasy," Lennon said in reference to the Moonlandingz. The 39-year-old musician noted that earlier in the year, the Eccentronic Research Council and Fat White united for Johnny Rocket, Narcissist & Music Machine... I'm Your Biggest Fan, a record featuring spoken-words of a fictional band, the Moonlandingz, and a fan-turned-stalker. "It's done quite well in England," Lennon said.

The latest trippy video for the dark "Sweet Saturn Mine (Sean Lennon De-Mix)" saw six-hour direction from Muhl in a moldy basement in England, TheQuietUs notes. The group turned to a cult vibe in which Lennon plays a self-described "gypsy wizard." "We were just trying to entertain ourselves. The whole thing was us just laughing and having fun. And when Saul killed Lias - that was just too much," he explained.

Although Lennon is penning new material for the Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger and crafting his own solo album, the Moonlandingz currently tops his list of priorities. September will see the beginning of the production stages of a fresh debut album as well as the groups first few gigs. "Moonlandingz is interesting because it's a side project for all of us in a way, but because it's not the main project, things feel a lot more fun and easy," he said. "I think it should be a great record because there's not a lot of pressure."
