The highly anticipated fifth edition of Tony Hawk Pro Skater has unveiled the game's soundtrack and it is quite different from editions of the past. The skateboarding game series was a huge success in the late 1990s and early 2000s and the in-game music became an integral part of the user experience as they did flips on massive half pipes, grinded on buildings and tailed behind trucks. The new game has unveiled the soundtrack and additions from the likes of Skrillex, Anti-Flag, Atmosphere, Bully, Deaf Poets and others show that times have changed dramatically since Pro Skater 4 was released in 2002. The most notable difference is that Goldfinger's "Superman," which became synonymous with the series, has been left out.
Also included on the soundtrack are selections from Royal Blood, Ratatat, Death From Above 1979, The Orwells and many more. There is a stronger electronic and hip-hop feel than in games past, but that is only keeping with the times.
