Roma Downey and Mark Burnett, the producers, have created literature to go along with their Bible franchise. The husband and wife team has co-authored a 150-page book titled Son of God that is based on the movie. The book, written like a contemporary novel, looks at Jesus as a person and the people - both enemies and friends - that surrounded him. It also covers Jewish cultures and customs, the politics behind Jesus' trial and death, and the spread of Christ's teachings throughout the world.
