Ragamuffin, The True Story of Rich Mullins

Rich Mullins died in an automobile accident in 1997, but his legacy (songs like "Awesome God" and "Sometimes by Step") lives on.

On May 2, 2014, fans will be able to learn more about the man, his music and his faith when Ragamuffin, The True Story of Rich Mullins, kicks off a nationwide screening tour. The project, produced by Color Green Films, will have showings in
Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin and Markham, Ontario, Canada.

Starring Michael Koch as Rich Mullins, the cast includes Wolfgang Bodison (A Few Good Men), James Kyson (Hawaii Five-O, Heroes), Mel Fair, Carson Aune (True Blood, 90210), Cameron Goodman (Sons & Daughters, CSI: New York), Elizabeth Ann Roberts (House, M.D., Heroes, Criminal Minds) and Michelle Keller. Ragamuffin also showcases several members of the Mullins' family.

The film is written by Ashleigh Phillips and David Leo Schultz and is produced and directed by Schultz. Additional producers include David Mullins (Rich's younger brother), David Holechek and Ryan Bodie.

In a press release, Schultz talked about the film and its potential impact, saying, "Ragamuffin is a stirring film that will touch audiences and challenge them to consider what is most important in their own lives. The movie's heartfelt themes include redemption, forgiveness, faith, and the true meaning of God's unconditional love."
