Drake and Serena Williams were recently spotted getting extra touchy on a date after Williams won the singles title at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinatti, giving confirmation to dating rumors that go back to this year's Wimbledon, where he was also seen cheering Williams on to victory. A few years ago, there was a suspected hook-up between Drake and Williams, which eventually led to a beef between the "6 God" another rapper and former boyfriend of the tennis star, Common. Now, as Drake and Williams are officially an item, Common has no interest in reviving the beef, as he has nothing but well-wishes for the new couple.

TMZ recently caught up with the Common in Beverly Hills and asked him if he was willing to give Drake and Williams his blessing. He was apparently happy to do so, saying, "Serena is a friend of mine. As long as she's happy, I'm good."

He's clearly long over his feelings for the world's No. 1 and wants the best for Williams on and off the court.

"We dated. Now that's been done a long time ago, so now it's like we friends. She's doing super good on the tennis and she's incredible."

Common first dissed Drake on "Sweet" in December 2011, a few months after the singing rapper had sent a highly flirtatious tweet at Williams. Drake responded with some subliminal shots on Rick Ross' "Stay Schemin'," which Common soon remixed and called out the Toronto rapper by name.

Though the beef seems to be long buried, don't expect the two rappers to be seated next to each other in Williams' players' box at the U.S. Open, where she looks to become the first woman to win all four Grand Slams in a calendar year since 1988.
