Despite all the drama surrounding the 2015 MTV VMAs nominations and Nicki Minaj's Twitter rant voicing displeasure with the network's decision not to give "Anaconda" a Video of the Year nod, it has now been confirmed that the Pinkprint Tour headliner will be the opening performance for the show. Minaj joins the ranks of Justin Beiber, The Weeknd, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pharrell,Tori Kelly and Twenty One Pilots with A$AP Rocky in the long list of epic performances for the weekend, hosted by Miley Cyrus.

Although Minaj practically berated MTV for having the audacity not to select her "Anaconda" video to receive a VOTY nomination after it broke Vevo records, racking up a 19.6 million views after 24 hours it, looks like the femcee has allowed bygones to be bygones after shading fellow nominees Taylor Swift and Cyrus.

Minaj's Sunday's performance promises to be one jam packed with excitement as she has been hinting at something huge in the works. Perhaps our first live performance of the girl power charged hit, "Feeling Myself," alongside queen Beyonce? Possibly.

On the heels of the announcement that Minaj would be opening the show, Cyrus definitely had a lot to say regarding the emcee's VMA snub after she didn't receive a nomination. According to Cyrus' interview with NY Times, it's pretty evident that she is not a fan of Minaj and called her out for being a "not too kind person."

Minaj will be joined by fellow artists -- Justin Beiber, who will be performing new single, "What Do You Mean," as well as Demi Lovato's "Cool for the Summer" hit and a slew of other hot performances.
