Demi Lovato took over the block party in downtown Los Angeles at the 2015 MTV VMAs on Sunday night (Aug. 30) by showing off plenty of sexy skin and offering up a sexy performance of her new Confident single "Cool for the Summer," and she debuted a new single with her BFF Iggy Azalea.
Lovato kicked off the "Cool for the Summer" performance in downtown L.A. in a beach chair, lounging while performing the saucy new single. Soon, however, this summer turned from cool to hot, hot, hot as Lovato ripped off her cover-up revealing a sparkling purple and black strappy one-piece bathing suit.
Earlier in the day, Lovato promised some surprise performers and she delivered with her noted good friend Iggy Azalea, who popped up from beneath the stage to deliver a brand new remix verse. The new lyrics helped to give the song its sexual exploration theme, and the two friends interacted on stage like old besties who could maybe turn into something more.
From there, Lovato continued on the summer theme by performing in a blow up pool because, why not? We're all "Cool for the Summer" after all.
