The queen of country music herself Shania Twain said this would be her final farewell tour, but she's having too much fun to quit now. She's currently plotting out another residency in Las Vegas as well as a tour extension into Europe and possibly other countries.

The Las Vegas Sun caught up with the country star as she celebrated her 50th birthday at the San Diego Valley View Casino Center on Saturday (Aug. 29), showing no signs of aging as she strutted about stage with the vitality of someone in their 20s.

In a backstage discussion, she dropped the two bombshell announcements: she's planning on booking a massive two-year return residency to Las Vegas and her farewell tour won't end with her final dates in the U.S. and Canada. She looks to expand globally.

Her Rock This Country Tour is a mammoth operation featuring horses, fireworks and aerial theatrics according to Rolling Stone Country. The tour utilizes 15 equipment trucks filled to the brim with sound, lighting and rigging equipment, which requires a full-time staff of 100 crew members to set up with an additional 200 stage hands hired for each stop.

This leg of the tour will end in October as she goes back into the studio to finish her new album this fall. She said six songs have been completed and now she just needs to sift through the 38 songs she has written in total to narrow down another six or eight songs to round out the album, which would be her first since the release of Up in 2002.

"Then Europe and maybe add on Asia, Australia and New Zealand," Twain said in an interview with The Las Vegas Sun. "I have to take it phase by phase. But the ideal scenario is to come back to Las Vegas. I'd like to return to Las Vegas and do another couple of years in a residency."

All of this is fantastic news to the millions of fans out there who have been clamoring for more. Twain is the biggest selling female solo artist in country music history with 75 million albums sold worldwide. Any new music she releases is sure to make waves in the music industry.
