Although Lady Gaga's appearance in the latest American Horror Story: Hotel trailer is fleeting, her presence is haunting as its evident her character is the star of co-creator Ryan Murphy's latest installment of the hit FX series in the show's first trailer.

The campy clip called "Hallways" gives viewers a sneak peek at the troubling and eerie hotel tenants, Billboard reports. Gaga will star alongside a star-studded cast Matt Bomer, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Kathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson and more. Cast members are seen rummaging through the hallways alongside demon-like children, cryptic blood-filled blenders and mattresses with humans stuffed inside.

The quick, 30-second trailer all boils down to the ending scene, which depicts the ARTPOP singer dressed in full wedding attire. Murphy originally announced that the 29-year-old musician would take on the role of hotel owner during the Television Critics' Association summer press tour. Being a fan of the pop star himself, Murphy dedicated an entire episode of Glee to her musical talents, Rolling Stone notes.

The fifth season of AHS will give the singer her first-ever recurring role, though it's not Gaga's first time acting. Previously, she has made cameos in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Muppets Most Wanted and Machete Kills.

Three of Murphy's most popular television endeavors, American Horror Story, Glee and the latest addition Scream Queens, have a reputation for using well-known celebrities as part of the cast. Scream Queens is slated to include pop singers Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande while Stevie Nicks and Adam Levine made guest-star appearances on previous seasons of AHS. To prepare for the AHS: Hotel release, the "You and I" singer corralled the cast at her home for a bash, complete with a blood-red dyed swimming pool.

This year has been dedicated to Gaga promoting Cheek to Cheek, her latest collaborative album with Tony Bennett. The dup performed the album's title track at the Grammy Awards and two weeks alter, Gaga took on the Oscars to perform a medley of The Sound of Music.

American Horror Story: Hotel will air October 7 at 10 p.m. on FX
