FKA Twigs has gained a lot of fans in the past year for her minimalist electro-R&B sounds and today she probably picked up a lot more with a haunting cover of Sia's "Elastic Heart" on BBC Radio 1.

The usual wall of production that accompanies Sia's version of her hit song is stripped away during FKA Twigs' performance. Sporting a long shinny leather jacket like something out of The Matrix, the British singer supports the power of this pop song with only a drum machine, two guitars and her voice. The echoing sounds drop out at the perfect time to highlight her eerie voice and the soft pulsing snare, forcing you to lean in and pay attention to the thinness of the song.

What would a Sia song be without some dancing? About a quarter of the way into the performance, one of FKA Twig's crewmembers starts hovering over the singer with various hand motions before she stripes the jacket and gives her own version of the Maddie Ziegler dance.

"Elastic Heart" was the second single from Sia's breakthrough album 1000 Forms of Fear. The song was her second to chart on the Hot 100 peaking at No. 17 with her first single "Chandelier" reaching No. 8 on the chart.

BBC Radio 1 has produced a lot of viral covers in the past couple years as the station invites some of the worlds biggest pop stars to come in and play their original tunes as well as pay tribute to some of today's contemporary hits. Most recently they station has made headlines for videos of Demi Lovato covering Hozier's "Take Me To Church," James Bay tackling Florence and the Machine's "Shake It Out" and Hozier covering Sam Smith's "Lay Me Down.
