Empire actress Taraji P. Henson may not be as single and unattached as she has claimed to be in several of her past interviews. Sources say that the feisty actress who plays Cookie Lyons may have a boo who's not quite new -- at least not to her. It's said that she has a man that she's been dating for years.
MTO got the inside scoop on Henson's special friend. Apparently, an insider relayed the information that a man by the name of Rashad and Henson "have been dating for quite some years now." The mystery man, a New York native, appears in two photos posted by MTO; alongside the Baby Boy actress in one, and amongst a group of friends with Henson included in the other. No PDAs are featured in either of the photos but one can gather just from looking that Rashad is tall, has a nice smile and is possibly a New York Yankees fan, as he sports the baseball cap in both photos.
Could the two really be an item or just friends? It seems as though from the beginning of her career Henson has been asked about her dating life and has even been linked to her Baby Boy co-star, Tyrese Gibson. When it comes down to it, people just don't want Henson to be single. And according to the star herself, she will always consider herself to be single even if she's dating someone because according to the actress, the only relationship that's real and that matters is a marriage.
Sister 2 Sister Magazine reported on an interview that the Act Like A Lady, Think Like a Man star had with the creator and relationship advice expert, Steve Harvey, where she gave fans a real understanding on how she feels about dating. Her response pretty much clears up why we have never heard of this Rashad, after all this time. "I'm a grown woman," she told the magazine. "If there's nothing on this ring finger, if this ring finger is naked no one gets claimed." And there you have it. (Don't you just love Cookie?) She goes to explain that no one will have the privilege of saying that they are with Taraji P. Henson until they are actually (and legally) with Taraji P. Henson. Or, in the words of Beyonce, "if you like then you should've put a ring on it."
Hopefully, if Rashad is in fact dating Henson, he knows what he needs to do to keep her and to be able to officially claim her -- put a ring on it.
