With their brand new album Between ii Worlds still piping hot off of the press, UK electronic act Nero took to the BBC Radio One airwaves to deliver their second ever Essential Mix. The group first delivered their debut Essential Mix in 2010 and fans have been clamoring for another two-hour mix since that Friday night five years ago. Now the group have mixed together a decade-spanning set that includes tracks from their recent album, Jamie xx, Depeche Mode, Phoenix, Underworld, Kraftwerk, The Chemical Brothers and many more.
Just like any proper mix, Nero are able to take the listener on a journey, not only through time, but also sonically building the tunes from softer tracks to their own heavier songs found on the album.
The group just released a brand new album, their first in four years, so there isn't much new material from them, but they do include some unreleased remixes including for David Zowie's "House Every Weekend."
