Taylor Swift's 1989 tour still has a way to go, which means there are endless possibilities concerning what musical acts and star power she'll bring to the forefront of her stage. The country-gone-pop singer initially suffered some backlash as she made the genre jump but while in Indianapolis Wednesday night, the "Bad Blood" singer returned to her country roots by presenting The Band Perry for a rendition of "If I Die Young."

Swift and the group performed the band's 2010 hit single from The Band Perry's self-titled album but before introducing the family band, she discussed how she chooses which acts to join her on the road. "I want to remind you that anyone you see on the 1989 world tour coming out to surprise an audience," she said. "They're doing it for free out of the goodness of their heart because they wanted to come and play for you and surprise you. Any guest artist that you see on the 1989 tour stage had the opportunity to surprise any crowd at any show and they chose you, Indy," Entertainment Weekly reports.

Fully equipped with her acoustic guitar, the "Wildest Dreams" singer nailed her old-school country sweetheart persona. The band took to social media to showcase their enthusiastic faces with a selfie alongside Swift, calling the night a "magical" one. The 25-year-old pop sensation has a bunch of gigs left on her 1989 world tour including stops in the heart of country territory, Nashville, Tennessee, MTV notes. Fans are left to wonder if she'll call on more country acts or if she'll continue to surprise Swifties with random and impressive celebrities.

So far, guests who have graced the 1989 stage include Julia Roberts, Wiz Khalifa, Justin Timberlake, Alanis Morissette, Lisa Kudrow, Avril Lavigne, Uzo Aduba, Selena Gomez and more.
