Ryan Adams complete cover of Taylor Swift's 1989 album is complete, and now fans have a first full taste of what's to come. After setting a release date for Monday (Sept. 21), on Thursday (Sept. 17), the "Gimme Something Good" rocker released the full studio version of his "Bad Blood" cover.

Adams took Swift's Kendrick Lamar featuring pop jam and turned it into a sing-songy acoustic ballad. He's offered up a swing into the pre-chorus which carries through the rest of the song, turning up the momentum.

Adams' "Bad Blood" cover is far more subdued than Swift's version, which included plenty of kicks in the chorus and big production. But, the basic melodies and the strength of Swift's initial songwriting remain, and the line "Band-Aids don't fix bullet holes" hits just as hard.

Adams' release of the full studio version of Swift's "Bad Blood" comes just a little over a month after the indie rock star initially announced that he would be covering and releasing the full version of Swift's October 2014 album 1989.

The album will be released on Monday via Adams' Pan Am Records. And the cover album has already found one huge fan: Swift herself. After Adams announced his new album release date, the "Wildest Dreams" singer began to promote the release heavily on her own Twitter.
