John Stamos has had a pretty difficult Summer after being arrested and cited for a DUI in Beverly Hills, followed by checking himself into rehab during the same time period when he was set to co-host the Emmy Awards Nominations. Now the actor is speaking out on being released from rehab, the events that lead to his battle with substance abuse and moving forward with working on the Netflix series Fuller House without former co-stars, the Olsen twins.

The former Full House cast member who played Uncle Jesse explained in an interview with Detail that his life began to take a turn for the worse after the death of his mother. He explained how he had some decisions to make on which path he wanted to take, and even though the best decision might not be so much fun, ultimately it's the best decision with better opportunities and goodwill.

"You either continue on that path-and some of it's fun, but a lot of it's not," the former Full House star explained. "Or there's this other thing, this golden opportunity sitting there with all this work and all this goodwill that you have going for you. That's the key."

After one month in rehab, the 52-year-old actor is putting things into perspective and living a much healthier life. He stated, "I feel better than I've felt in a decade." Stamos took a moment to reconnect with his Twitter followers back in June showing the world his healthier lifestyle with a photo of him boxing and sweating it out. ET reported on the tweet released to fans that read, "I'm back! Took a month to take care of things. Healthy. Feeling grateful for the love & support of family & friends."

The love and support was definitely there for the actor who received an overwhelming response from Twitter followers, and his Full House on screen wife, Lori Loughlin, who tweeted a response to Stamos, "Welcome home @JohnStamos!! Can't wait to see you Monday! #FullerHouse."

Two people that won't be included on the set of Fuller House are the TV twins from the 90s show, Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen, who both contributed to playing the character Michelle Tanner. In the interview with Detail, Stamos was asked about the Olsen Twins who the site explains were "surprised" at the news of the revamped show. Stamos explained how that wasn't true.

"Everybody knew about it; everybody was asked," he explained. "I made sure it became a favored- nations thing, so we all make the same amount. Obviously, the twins have a different thing. We're doing 13 episodes, so if they want to change their minds, we'd love to have them . . . but we only need one!"

The first season of Fuller House is currently in production and will hit Netflix in 2016.
