On Sunday, Drake and Future released their sought after joint mixtape What a Time to Be Alive. As expected, the tape featured hard hitting production and catchy standout lines from both rappers, including a Karrueche Tran reference. Following its release, Chris Brown jumped on social media to respond to Drake name dropping his ex.

On the song "Live From the Gutter," Drake raps "This for my n*ggas on that bullsh*t and that nonsense, this for my dawgs that go Karrueche with the chopsticks."

Outspoken Brown took to his Instagram account to share his thoughts and take a subtle jab at Drizzy. In a lengthy post, he apparently decided to take the higher road, writing that he's "too blessed for the bullsh*t." Breezy also noted that he wasn't too amused by Drizzy's word play, adding, "A lot of these artist lie to the fans or rely on hype to gain substance. You n*ggas bore me."

Warning: Instagram contains graphic language.

Though Brown seemed generally unfazed, Drizzy's new bars may have reignited a preexisting feud. Last December, Brown took to Instagram and blasted his former model/actress girlfriend for allegedly going on dates with Drake in Toronto while he was in prison.

"I was locked up for damn near 4 months and only got 1 visit from you while u was hosting parties and taking secret trips to Toronto, going on dates with Drake," he wrote on Instagram of Tran.

This is hardly the first time a woman has come between the two artists. Back in 2012, Brown and Drake came to physical blows at a New York City nightclub following animosities that both men dated pop star Rihanna during their careers.

They seemingly patched things up with Brown appearing in a skit with Drake at the 2014 ESPYs. They were also spotted in the studio together last summer and Brown was set to take the stage at the annual OVO Fest. Prior to the presumed Rihanna beef, they worked together on the remix of Brown's "Deuces."
