If you ever questioned if it was possible to be friends with your ex after a breakup, the answer is yes. The scenario definitely doesn't work for everybody, but it sure does with The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco and her co-star ex-boyfriend, Johnny Galecki. Despite the popular television show keeping them in close proximity, the two managed to maintain a healthy relationship after their amicable split. Now married to famous tennis player Ryan Sweeting, Cuoco is happy her new man "loves" her old beau.

Celebrities turning their on screen relationships into a real life love affair is nothing new. It's happened in several teen television shows like One Tree Hill's Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray, The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, Gilmore Girls' Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia and many more. So there's no surprise a relationship spawned from the hilarious CBS sitcom surrounding science and a quirky group of friends.

In a recent episode of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, a caller asked how she handles going into work every day knowing her ex-boyfriend will be there. That's when the 29-year-old actress revealed there was no awkwardness between her and Galecki.

"Well, we dated like five years ago, so I think we both moved on," Cuoco said. "Johnny is actually one of my best friends. It's a situation that ended well. I understand sometimes it doesn't. It could have gone horrible. He's one of my dearest friends and Ryan loves him. Johnny loves [Ryan]. I got lucky."

Cuoco and Galecki began secretly dating in 2007 and split in 2010. By staying out of the spot light and barely ever stepping out in public together, the young actors kept their relationship on the low and remained out of the paparazzi's way. Cuoco refers to it as a major part of her life. Her 40-year-old co-star also spoke openly about their former relationship for the first time in 2010.

"I just don't like to speak about it. And not because I'm trying to be enigmatic; I just worry that it will conflict with people's acceptance of [Big Bang Theory characters] Leonard and Penny," Galecki told CBS Watch! magazine. "I get the curiosity, but I don't want to distract from the story."
