Erykah Badu is the latest to put her spin on Drake's "Hotline Bling." She remixed the buzzworthy track ahead of her new mixtape titled But U Caint Use My Phone.

On the 7 and a half minute cut, Badu tweaks a few of Drizzy's lyrics, adds in a laugh out loud worthy skit and switches the beat in the second half. Co-written by Seven Benjamin, Badu's son with Andre 3000, the track even features a brief snippet of the Outkast rapper.

“The people said just let it go / And on and on and search and search / But they don’t ride around with us, oh no no / And that’s too bad we love to hate / And for a while we stayed the same / But now you tryna change the game, oh no no,” she sings.

No word on when to expect Badu's project in its entirety or if Drizzy himself with be featured. He first detailed his friendship with Badu on his SoundCloud cut "Days In the East."

“Remember one night I went to Erykah Badu house / She made tea for me / We talked about love and what life could really be for me,” Drake sings. “She said, when that sh*t is real, you just know / And I was thinking bout you, you already know.”

Back in April, Badu debuted new content via Jay Z's Tidal in the form of a short Western film titled They Die By Dawn. Prior to that, she was featured in Adult Swim's Black Dynamite The Musical.

She's also headlined a slew of live shows, including Atlanta's annual Funk Fest. The songstress, responsible for songs like "Tyrone" and "On & On," has a few more dates this month as well.

Badu's last album, New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh, was released in 2010. Check back with us for more updates and let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
