Fans of Rick Ross never have to wait too long for the MMG boss to release new music. Just one month after dropping his surprise mixtape Black Dollar and a little over a year after dropping Mastermind, on Tuesday (Oct. 6), the prolific rapper announced his eighth studio album Black Market and dropped the record's lead single "Sorry," featuring Chris Brown.

"Sorry" was rolled out on The Breakfast Club, as BET reports, and finds both Ross and Brown getting emotional.

Brown even mentioned that this was one of the "most honest records" that he's ever done on his Instagram.

As for the song itself, against a piano melody and a soft yet sturdy beat, Ross and Brown channel thug love as they lament that "I'm sorry won't turn back the clock." Brown leads the song with an emotional opening verse and takes over the song for the first 80 seconds before Ross kicks in with his own verses.

As far as Ross' rhymes go, he moves away from his typical drugs, sex and money brags and gets intimate about a girl who has left him in the dust. And though this song is due to be featured on Ross' new album, it feels more like a cut of Brown's, as he takes over the majority of the track, and his verses and choruses are far more memorable than anything that Ross delivers.

"Sorry" is the lead single from Ross' forthcoming eighth studio album, Black Market. An exact release date has yet to be revealed, but it's expected to drop in December.
