In some disturbingly bloody footage, Compton rapper Teriq Royal went viral after filming himself following being injured when fragments of a bullet from an AK-47 struck him in the head and embedded in his skull. Royal apparently thought it would be an opportune time to take a selfie and filmed the whole bloody ordeal. Instead of being rushed to the nearest hospital, Royal posted a video of himself in a befuddled state boasting that he had just been shot.

The ever-growing need for our generation to document all things on social media reached a new extreme in the case of Royal. The local Compton rapper was hanging with friends when they were caught in the crossfire of gunfire, which resulted in fragments of an AK-47's bullet being lodged in Royal's skull.

Royal filmed the gruesome aftermath with blood streaming from the bullet’s point of entry saying, "I’m really a rap n**** now, I just got shot."

According to InFlexWeTrust, after he received medical attention he posted an X-ray, which revealed bullet fragments that would remain in his skull for the rest of his life.

In a post shared on Facebook he said, "Yes me and the homies got shot at couple days ago AK47 bullet flew past my head and I was hit with the bullet fragments, 3 frags stuck in my forehead for life. They stopped right on my skull before they could enter my brain."

Royal is not the first rapper to be shot, or nearly shot, as the case appears to be here.  He now joins the ranks of rappers 50 Cent, YG, Lil Wayne and others who have lived to tell the tale. However, he most definitely is the first to upload the gory tale.
