My Krazy Life rapper YG was reportedly shot at a Los Angeles-area recording studio early Friday (June 12) morning.

According to TMZ, the shooting happened at around 1:45 a.m. in Studio City. YG was shot three times in the hip.

Reports notes that the "Who Do You Love" rhymer was able to get in his car and someone from his group drove him to a nearby hospital.

Law enforcement on the scene found multiple shell casings and blood on the sidewalk. Police went to the hospital to interview YG but the rapper was "very uncooperative."

Reps for YG told the media outlet that the injuries are not life threatening, and he's doing fine. The shooter is still on the loose.

Earlier this year, the Compton rapper was announced among the performers for Drake's OVO Fest. YG is slated to perform at Toronto's Molson Canadian Amphitheatre on Aug. 2 as a part of J. Cole's Forest Hills Drive tour. Big Sean, Jeremih, Bas, Cozz and Omen will also hit the stage.

In December 2014, YG made headlines when he discussed his disappointment in the Grammys and being snubbed in the nominations for his debut release.

"I already knew I wasn't going to win a Grammy," he said. "The whole year I was like 'They not gone give me the Grammy but they gone nominate me for sure.' But when I seen some of them albums on there, it was like, I didn't really get it. I really feel some type of way."

That same month, he released a short film entitled Blame It On The Streets and an accompanying soundtrack.
