The race for celebrity endorsements is already tight in the campaign for president. And while Bernie Sanders has amassed a number of high profile supporters including Mark Ruffalo, Susan Sarandon, Danny Devito and Sarah Silverman, democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton received one of the most powerful celebrity endorsements possible: Kanye West.

The rapper/producer/fashion designer/2020 presidential candidate apparently donated to Hillary Clinton's campaign, according to Buzzfeed. West joins fellow celebrities including Jessica Alba, Matt Damon and Tom Hanks who have also donated to the Clinton campaign.

This is yet another political maneuver from the artist who recently claimed he'd be running for President in 2020. Regarding his decision, Clinton said, "Well, if I'm going for my second term, to wait four years, but if I'm not, be sure he has comfortable shoes because there's a lot of walking involved."

Hillary Clinton has raised a much larger sum than any other candidate currently running, and is spending almost as much in order to maintain her massive political infrastructure. As the New York Times reports, Clinton has raised $25.8 million and has spent 86 percent on her campaign. This is compared to Jeb Bush's $11.5 and Marco Rubio's $4.6 million. However, despite her high "burn rate," Clinton still has a $31 million cushion to rely on if her donations start to dwindle.

As opposed to her chief competitor Sanders, Clinton has counted on large donations and fundraising events to reach her goals and maintain momentum heading into the general election. According to Open Secrets, her top donators include Time Warner, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanely and Lehman Brothers.
