Hillary Clinton has some clout in the celebrity world, as rapper T.I. took to Twitter to apologize for saying he wouldn't vote for "a woman," after his comments in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid went viral today (Oct. 13). He claims "not to be sexist," but his comments on the idea of women running for president were anything but. For some reason, the rapper seems to be a somewhat of a fan of "greatest showman of all time" and potential male candidate Donald Trump.

VIBE reported on the interview, which included gems such as, "I can't vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman. Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president?" There is really no other way to categorize this other than "blatant sexism," but T.I. has been accused of this before.

He further continued with, "It's kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally - they make very permanent, cemented decisions - and then later, it's kind of like it didn't happen, or they didn't mean for it to happen." But T.I., perhaps prompted by someone in his camp, immediately went on Twitter to apologize for his quotes before there could be a ton of backlash.

He then tweeted, "My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong. I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended."

According to Rolling Stone, T.I. then gave a few compliments to Donald Trump and expressed that the successful businessman might be able to aid the economy if he were invested. This is not to say that he will vote for him though; T.I. shut down the Trump support rumors with, "His racist remarks and all of his off-color statements and all that shit... makes it impossible to be completely supportive of him."
