The British Albums Chart got quite the mix up this week, as X Factor winner and newcomer Sam Bailey notched the No. 1 album in the U.K. during her first week on the charts.

According to Official Charts Company, Bailey's first record, The Power Of Love arrived at the top of the albums charts over the weekend (March 30), beating out releases from more seasoned English favorites, such as George Michael, Pharrell Williams and Kylie Minogiue.

Though this is her first No. 1 album, The Power Of Love arriving at the top of the charts isn't Bailey's first big musical accomplishment. Last year, she won the 10th season of the X Factor and her debut single, a cover of Demi Lovato's "Skyscraper," reached the top of the charts over Christmas last year. She's also opened for Beyoncé on her Mrs. Carter World Tour, completing a task most people could only kind of dream of.

More impressively, The Power Of Love bested newer releases from musical powerhouses. Last week's English No. 1, George Michael's Symphonica, slipped to the No. 2 spot. Dr. Feelgood singer/guitarist Wilko Johnson's collaboration album with The Who's Roger Daltrey, Going Back Home held steady for the classic rockers by debuting at No. 3.

The top 10 of the British chart follows with familiar fare. Pharrell's G I R L arrived at No. 4, followed by another American favorite John Legend with Love in the Future at No. 5. Paloma Faith, Elbow, Kylie Minogue, Dr. Hook and Gary Barlow follow in Nos. 6-10, respectively, rounding out the top 10 with established British best-sellers.
