On Saturday, April 5, 2014, when the Florida Gators play the Connecticut Huskies and the Wisconsin Badgers face off with the Kentucky Wildcats during the Final Four, they will be hearing the national anthem performed by Chris Daughtry. In celebration of the 200th anniversary of "The Star-Spangled Banner," he will be backed by the Fort McHenry drum and fife corps.

On Monday, April 7, 2014, Darius Rucker will take the stage to perform the anthem before the Championship game. He will be accompanied by the Jazz Singers vocal ensemble from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performance and Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas.

It's too bad that the conference didn't follow the ACC's lead in March and have a concert to go along with the games. Daughtry and Darius are both phenomenal musicians and that would have brought even those who aren't crazy about basketball to the table!
