There may be more than a few similarities between Demi Lovato's Confident track "Stars" and two songs from Sleigh Bells. And, even though the noise rock duo themselves have called out the ripped samples, in an expected move two of Lovato's producers have denied using "Infinity Guitars" and "Riot Rhythm."

On Monday (Nov. 2), Sleigh Bells called out Lovato, who has a writing and production credit on "Stars," on Twitter for using two of their Treats tracks without permission.

And, while there are notable similarities between the two songs, including the heavy guitar melody in the verses (which is similar to "Infinity Guitars") and drums (from "Riot Rhythm"), Lovato's producers Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub have denied using any of Sleigh Bells' material in the Confident bonus track.

"We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato's song 'Stars,'" Fal and Yacoub said in a statement to Billboard. Furthermore, the production duo also said that Lovato should be totally cleared from fault because she did not work on the production of the track. "Demi was also not involved with the production," they said. "She only wrote top line." Despite the denials from Lovato's camp, the similarities between the three songs remain.    This whole incident has also been a lesson for Sleigh Bells, who have now learned the wrath of Lovato's fans. The duo have complimented them as "live," a.k.a., they've been attacking Sleigh Bells for daring to come after Lovato.
