Ariana Grande is known for speaking her mind on sexism in the music industry, but an interview with the Los Angeles radio station Power 106 was one for the books. During the interview, radio hosts Justin Credible and Eric D-Lux had Grande fending off various questions that one could definitely define as sexist, before slamming the DJs for their comments in a classy manner.

Despite the fact that Grande has a new album Moonlight slated for release in 2016, a brand-new single from the album titled Focus her recent Scream Queens appearance and a duet with Andrea Bocelli, their questions were limited to topics such as phones and make-up.

And with questions like, "If you had to use make-up or your phone one last time, which one would you pick?", it's no surprise that Grande felt the need to speak out. She was surprisingly tolerant considering the circumstances and responded with, "You need a little brushing up on equality," in a joking manner.

But this is not the first time Grande has spoken out on equality, although she was slightly more lighthearted this time around. This past June, the singer blasted the media in a lengthy Twitter essay that railed against the sexism she faced following a break-up with ex-boyfriend Big Sean.

In her Twitter post, Grande criticized the media for singulary focusing on her love life and claimed that there is much more to her as an artist. With a surprising amount of insight for a pop-star, Grande even referenced 1960s feminist figurehead Gloria Steinem.

She even quoted Steinem at the end of her essay, writing, "Any woman who chooses to behave like a full human being should be warned that the armies of the status quo will treat her as something of a dirty joke... she will need her sisterhood."
