Adele may be saying "Hello" to another new sales record. Though her new album 25 won't be released for another 10 days, some industry sources are projecting that her third studio album may sell over 2 million copies in its first week.

Just a week after Adele first returned to music, Billboard reported that first week sales of 25 were pretty much a lock in to exceed 1 million copies. The real question, according to an industry source, was whether or not the record would be able to sell over 2 million copies in its first week, a feat almost unheard of, especially in the modern era.

Now, some websites are saying that Adele could easily exceed 2 million copies sold. Twitter account @ChartNews claims that 25 is on pace to reach that milestone, with over 500,000 copies pre-ordered. Hits Daily Double also seems to indicate that Adele could exceed 2 million copies during her first on-sale week.

The last album to break that 2 million barrier was *NSYNC's No Strings Attached in 2001.

Adele is no stranger to shattering expected sales records. In its first week, her lead 25 single "Hello" sold 1.1 million copies in the United States. That staggering number nearly doubled the record previously set by Flo Rida's smash hit "Right Round," which sold 636,000 copies in 2009. Even in its second week of release, "Hello" sold 635,000 copies, so Adele holds the No. 1 and No. 3 spots for the biggest selling single in one week.

25 will be released on Friday, Nov. 20. The new album will be her first release since the critically acclaimed LP 21, which has sold over 11 million copies since 2011.
