Hip-hop soulstress Erykah Badu is back with her brand-new vibing track titled "Phone Down," off of her upcoming mixtape But You Caint Use My Phone.

Badu has been singing Drake's praises as of late, referring to the rapper as "a little brother" to her. The comment came after she recorded her own seven-minute version of Drizzy's "Hotline Bling," which will also appear on the upcoming mixtape; in fact, the original song was her inspiration for releasing an entire cellphone-themed mixtape.

During a recent interview, the singer spoke of her relationship to the Toronto rapper. "We're very good friends. He's just super busy right now. That's my brother, he's like a little brother to me," she said. "We're very good friends and we had some great talks. He's an inspiration to me."

"Phone Down" was debuted by Badu last week in Las Vegas, while she drove around singing along to the track playing out of the car she was in. She had also live-streamed the journey via Periscope, the recap of which was taken down within 24 hours. "I can make you put your phone down and we cruise through the city/I can make you put your phone down, you ain't gonna text no one when you with me," she sings, attempting to seduce the man in the song to put his phone down and focus on her.

Badu notated the song's Soundcloud page to read "this one's for Aubrey," which could mean Drake, but may also be referring to one of the song's contributors, since further down the credits read: "Concept/Written by Aubrey Davis."

But You Caint Use My Phone was initially due out in early November, but now, the Badu mixtape will make its way onto iTunes over Thanksgiving weekend.
