Eminem has been pretty off the radar recently since his flurry of media appearances over the summer promoting the Jake Gyllenhaal film Southpaw, which he created the soundtrack for. However the Rap God decided to come out from his seclusion and call into Shade 45 on Sirius XM where one of his favorite rappers Redman was in the offices promoting his new music to have a chat. Em revealed he was at home working on music of his own and would be down for a feature on Redman's Muddy Waters 2 album.

In the Shady Records documentary released in March, Eminem talked about working on music like a regular 9 to 5 job, getting up in the morning, working out and then getting right into the studio. This helped him cope with drug addiction as the loss of his friends threatened to implode his life. So the fact that Eminem is working on new music is not that surprising given that one might expect him to be working on new projects, but this is the first we have heard him discuss anything of the sort since the Southpaw soundtrack.

There is no timeline on a potential new project in whatever form that may arrive, an album, another soundtrack, more remixes or features, but at least we know that a feature is coming for Redman's Muddy Waters 2 album.

Listen to the full conversation below, which is entertaining to listen to these two old friends chop it up talking about the old days including when Eminem first saw Redman's house and took a picture of it, which he recently found during some cleaning.
