Belgium just reached the number-one rank in the world, and will celebrate in today's friendly against the former world champions by allowing other players rather than the stars to show their worth, according to manager Marc Wilmots.
"Players will have a chance to show themselves. We will be rotating," he said, according to Yahoo!, which names right back Luis Pedro Cavanda of Trabzonspor specifically. Captain Vincent Kompany has pulled out of the match due to injury.
Meanwhile, at the 39-minute mark of today's friendly, the match will be paused for a moment of silence to commemorate and honor the victims of the Heysel disaster. This is the 30th anniversary of the tragedy that claimed the lives of 39 supporters during the 1985 European Cup final between Liverpool and Juventus. The Italian team attended a memorial earlier this week.
