Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably at the top of the football world, with only one other name (Lionel Messi) nudging him every so often in a constant back-and-forth. Though he's soaring high now, he understands that a competitive career in European football isn't a long-term plan, and is allegedly thinking about a future in soccer. That might sound confusing, but we mean that the La Liga player is open to the idea of playing in the United States later in his career, just like David Beckham, Kaka, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and countless other MLS stars. When do you think the Real Madrid star will make the move?

"I'm definitely thinking about playing in the USA for a year," the former Manchester United star told FHM, according to CBS Sports. "I've always said living and playing there is a possibility. I'm not shutting the door on any league or on any place."

Cristiano isn't lying when he says he's open to playing in other leagues. In fact, plenty of talk surrounds the goal-scorer's return to the premiere league sometime soon.

"Why not? I'm in La Liga now, in Spain. But as I say 100 times, in the future, nobody knows," Cristiano told reporters recently about possibly returning to the EPL, according to The Irish Mirror.

He added: "Only Real Madrid, for now."

We imagine Ronaldo won't leave Madrid any time soon, but even he admits that anything can happen in the world of football. He even said something similar to fellow Portugal native and Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho. Find out more on this story here.
