Pharrell Williams may be the "Happy" guy in the music games these days, but that doesn't mean he isn't afraid to show a little other emotion. In a new interview with Oprah on her show Oprah Prime, the music maker broke down in tears due to the infectiously peppy impact of his hit Despicable Me 2/G I R L song.

The interview started with Pharrell talking about the viral success of "Happy," which hit audiences without radio play or a big push from his label. However, the 24-hour music video for the track went viral shortly after its November 21 release date, prompting music fans around the world to get "Happy" themselves.

After Oprah shows Pharrell some footage of fan videos, that's when he gets a little emotional about the impact of his song and its success. And then, to just more of a reaction out of the singer/rapper, Oprah brings up his beloved grandmother.

Cue the waterworks.

"It's overwhelming because I love what I do, and I just appreciate the fact that people have believed in me for so long that I could make it to this point to feel that," Pharrell said, as Oprah pointed out that "Happy" is so infectious because of its positive energy and pure intentions.
