As was previously reported, there has been some friction among members of the Frigo team. The Swedish underwear company employed former New York Yankee Derek Jeter as a director for a three-year contract. However, the company alleges that Jeter left Frigo after only two years. In a lawsuit against the former shortstop, the company claims that Jeter left because they had made 50 Cent a brand ambassador. According to the suit, Jeter felt that this made the company "too urban" and no longer wanted to be involved. However, Jeter took major issue with these claims, calling them "categorically false" in a statement on Thursday. According to HipHopDX, Jeter is filing suit against the company in the state of Delaware.

Regarding the incident, Jeter said, "I facilitated the introductory meeting between 50 Cent and the company, so it makes absolutely no sense that I would object to 50 Cent being a Frigo brand ambassador or think that 50 Cent is 'too urban' for the brand." Jeter went on to say that before the TMZ report, he had no prior knowledge of the lawsuit.

Jeter continued, "[Company CEO Mathias Ingvarsson's] statements are particularly malicious because he knew all along that I never agreed to be a spokesperson or ambassador for the brand, and that is confirmed in documents that Mr. Ingvarsson himself signed."

Yesterday, 50 Cent responded to the claims made by Frigo with an Instagram post. In the caption, 50 wrote, "Wow, guess I'm not a Yankees fan anymore," the Queens-born rapper wrote on Instagram under a picture of Jeter. "LETS GO METS! Man you can't trust nobody these day. smh." Hopefully, following Jeter's statement, the two can begin to patch things up. 50 could certainly benefit from one less name on the long list of high profile feuds in which he is involved.
