TV personality NeNe Leakes has never been one to bite her tongue when it comes to expressing how she feels on any and every situation. Her recent appearance on the ABC daytime talk show The View is an example of just how expressive she can be, after finding fault with the hosts of the show, who she believed were being a bunch of "mean girls" during the interview. She had no problem letting it be known in a tweet and a recent interview with E! Online.

The former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star visited the The View earlier this week, Tuesday Nov. 17, where she sat down to discuss her recent career endeavors with hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Raven Symone, Joy Behr, Paula Faris and Candace Cameron. The interview started off on good terms as Leakes joined the panel of women and greeted them with hugs, but the tone of the show shifted after the hosts began to ask Leakes questions regarding her marriage, divorce and then remarriage to husband Gregg Leakes, according to Rolling Out. They also seemed to "all come at her at one time," as Leakes mentions in the video clip of the show, after they asked questions about her new home that she shares with her husband that has no furniture.

"I can handle myself. It's not fair for everyone to come at you at once. And everybody trying to make you appear to be something that you're not," Leakes stated during her appearance on the Tuesday show. Behr made a point of comparing Leakes to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who Leakes has worked with in the past on another TV reality show, Celebrity Apprentice. Behr sarcastically suggested that Leakes is "modest" in speaking about herself and her accomplishments, similar to Trump, which is why they're friends.

The panel then began to speak about her acting aspirations, which have taken her from reality TV to Broadway with her appearances in Cinderella and now Chicago, where she plays Matron "Mama" Morton. Although Leakes posted a photo on her Instagram of what seemed like a happy group of women during her time with The View crew, according to Rolling Out, that's not how she felt at all.

As reported by the site, after the interview with the daytime show ended, she expressed her views on her interaction with the ladies in a tweet that was subsequently removed which stated, "Just sat down with a bunch of mean girls turning up their noses, looking u up & down as if u don't belong." Leakes later openly explained why she felt this way about her time on the ABC talk show in an interview with E! Online.

"I was a guest on the view and I just felt like, honestly speaking, if you invite me into your house have some manners and treat me nice," she explained during the E! interview. "Again, people sometimes think that you are something that you are not, just by watching you on reality tv and I get it," Leakes explained of why she believed she was mistreated during her appearance on the show. She revealed how just by entering a room of people who only have a connection with her through what they have seen on TV or heard about her, they don't really know her or take the time to get to know her before they start treating her unfairly.

"I just felt those girls weren't friendly," Leakes stated of The View hosts. "I saw the eye rolls, I felt the eye rolls, I was there. I don't know how much was seen on camera, but all the eye rolls and the looking you up and down, that kind of thing."
